WinXP Service Pack 2 and WindowBlinds 4.2/3?

The latest release of the program, is it compatible with the SP2 for Windows XP? Or must I wait for a newer release of WB?

It should be compatible as there isn't any indication that SP2 alters the GUI in anyway that I am aware of or would affect WB. You can bet though that once SP2 is final, any bugs that do develop will be fixed by Stardock. I have heard of a couple problems with people using SP2, but since its still in beta I wouldn't say those are definitely going to be issues upon final release.

I've heard of some problems myself. I'd wait until the official release of SP2 anyway. Unless you're a developer, I would never use beta programs. The extra time should allow Stardock to make updates and Microsoft to fix the bugs. As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I haven't had any problems with SP2. Never even knew it was there except for the firewall asking permissions.

There''s a kown issue with the toolbar buttons not being skinned, and tha''s being worked on currently.
I''ve also noticed here, and reported, that progress bars are no longer skinned either.
But on the whole, there''s no real issues with using SP2 and WB together.

Yep, those are the issues I was referring too.

Yea, we won't look at that until SP2 is out there. One has to wonder why MS would even change that behavior in the first place.

Pretty cosmetic though, WB 4.x will work fine under any version of XP Sp1, sp2, and beyond.
