Believe Fences 6 causing windows 10 Pro File Explorer to crash/restart

Explorer .exe behavior affected by Fences 6?

Windows Version Number: Windows 10 Pro V. 19045 updated via M.S. ESU
App Version: Fences 6 updated

All non MS context shell handlers are disabled via ShellEX View.  The right-click menu on explorer is reduced to default.  Including all Dropbox handlers.  Yet explorer.exe crashes upon any attempt to open an explorer window.  It then restarts.  Have made all available fixes I can find in the literature.  Event Viewer says the fault is in shellex.dll, yet literature says that is covering for a particular extension undisclosed.  Could it be Fences on which I depend and would not like to lose, somehow at fault?.  Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a remedy?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just to make sure, Please try, uninstall Fences, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Also, please check Windows system file, just to be sure.

Please try the following:

-For Win 10 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.

Thank you,
