Windows 11 update causing Taskbar error?

I updated Windows 11 last night when I shut down. Today, anytime I click a link anchored to the taskbar, it launches the app plus additional apps pinned to the taskbar. 

i.e. : I click on my Opera Browser Link and it opens that plus the Windows calculator.

It also sometimes opens co-pilot, which is weird because it is not pinned and is disabled in my system.

I have updated to 1.56, rebooted... the problem persists.

EDIT: I tried a cold boot. Let the memory decay for a couple of minutes then restarted my computer. The update process for Startdock completed at this point. It displayed a splash screen and config menu - which did not happen when I did a soft restart. 

All of my issues seem to have corrected themselves.

I'll leave this post up in case someone encounters something similar.
