Fences randomly move

Hi,

Not flagging this as a bug yet, as it maybe something I'm doing wrong.

I just updated my V3 Fences to V6.  I'm still using the trial (I have paid for V2 and V3 previously and will purchase V6 if I can figure this issue out). Prior to the upgrade, the fence locations were pretty static.  Only once in a while did thing get messed up.

But in this version, if my screensaver starts, when I reactivate the computer, my fences are all over the place.  I have to load a saved snapshot to get them to go back right.  I've only had it installed for 3 hours and already had to do this 5 or 6 times.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, did you get it resolved?  It's a bit of a deal breaker for me if it's not fixable.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried saving a new backup once  you get all your Fences to the way your want it under Fences v6 yet? Since from what I know Fences v6 have a new layout engine. Thing has changed a lot since v3 in term of layout management. Try save a new layout, than see if the issue returned. Perhaps a reboot needed.

Hi.

Could you please upload us an error report, and tag this post in your uploaded report?

 

(1) Enable advanced debug logging, by going "About" tab, and selecting "Enable advanced logging" from the "Troubleshooting" menu.

(2) Reboot, so that it takes effect.

(3) Take a new backup snapshot within Fences. Reproduce the problem, and then take another backup snapshot.

(4) Send us an error report by selecting "Create error report package" from the "Troubleshooting" menu and following the instructions.

 

The team can then take a look at what's going on. Thank you!
