Correct me if I am wrong but isn't a Shelby a variation OF a mustang?

Shelby...as in Carroll Shelby...made a name for himself by modifying an English sports car...the AC Ace....plonked various sized V8s into them and they were then known as AC Cobras....Ford eventually made use of his 'name' to promote hotted-up variations of their tanks, 'Cobra' was used in Aus with the Ford Falcon Hardtop [Coupe]....and 'Shelby' made its way to the Mustang.

The 427 Cobra is now the most common kit car choice around....all testosterone and precious little practicality...

can that thing actually fly???? theres no wing.. the thing in the back is about as pointless as a whale tail on civic.

Check the 'Test Program' link and it seems that yes, it flies, but not very well!

It's a vertical takeoff/landing from what I know of it. They are hoping that these will replace automobiles one day (!). All I know is I'd hope it's got a HUGE parachute for those times when you just don't make it to the fuel station.

The only other car I can think of is a 1959 Austin Healey "Bugeye" Sprite MKI or a TR3

The Maybach.
The 1940's one or something around that time I think.
