DeviantART is pissing me the hell off

Okay Maybe its me but Im fixing to pitch a bitch here, Just today I make my way over to deviantART and I go to sign up to the site, I go through the motions you know that deal, and then I go to login, well then I must then Verify my email address, it then tells me that I will get an email from them and to follow that link BTW no email yet, and probably wont be, because their digital rectum can spit a page out in a mere 0.04 seconds but can spit out a bloody email so I can cruise through their site and check out all the creamy goodness > Im starting to wonder whats up now.... it seems like I dl here, I have an account here, and I have never had a problem from this great place, but oh no not DeviantART, I have logged a account there TWICE, thats right TWICE, not once, but TWICE!!I have a MSN email so why is the email not getting to me within 4 bloody hours??????????? > grrrrrrr

Don't feel bad, when I went to sign up for an account, it said my IP was banned. I had only been to the site a handful of times to d/l Rainlendar skins, so I found it odd and vowed never to return.

But You realize it was weekend and there might have been a problem and nobody is there to perhaps take care of that problem, right ? It is not like You gave them money or something and don't get it back, so it is time to calm down and get perspectives right.

Last I had heard...they do not send to MSN and hotmail email accounts.

Try a different email. I used my yahoo account, and had no problems. :0)

They sent it to my MSN account... but I probably don't count since I have been there for over a yaer now.

I made a new account but I didn't use MSN.

I think you should just give it time like the others said.

heck, they lost my original account. can't get back to it to save my life. now I had to resign up as a "new user" yuk. been there for over three years.
I rarely go there now.

i ped deviant art quickly, upon realizing you had to become a member just to use the search function. i couldn't get around the site to see if there was anything there i liked, to even consider a membership.

i've found a few nice skins there but i made it to the artist's page by searching in google. by luck the link would lead me there.

Been to DA a couple of times. Don't like the style of the website, its too large, just can't find the skinning corner

didn't used to have to be a "member" that's a new thing in the past couple months.
in fact my "lost" login happened about the same time.

I came to DA through wincustomize, and I enjoy the site. It helps to pay the small fee and get the extra browsing features that come with membership. It takes a while to get know a little and browse folks galleries that you enjoy and leave comments. To my eyes there are some terrific artists posting there, and many good conversations. I think DA has done a good job with their devfavs and devwatches... they really allow participants to get to know each other's work over time. jmo.
