Keyboard power button problem

I just got a new, pretty awesome looking keyboard with one problem,
there is a power button right next to the key. I dont really want to pull it off because then it will look ghetto. If anyone knows of a program that can change button functions, please let me know.

If you haven't already done this, try searching for the model number of the keyboard using google.

You might find software drivers for it that way. You might also find that someone else has found the same problem and already gives a solution.

Check your BIOS as well. On the board I have, you can change the setting for that button from in there.
Also, if you can't get it button working, you don't need to pull it off. You 'could' just not use it.

and my problem was missing the Delete key and hitting it accidentally, not the fact that I didn't like it.

Can't you remap your 'fire' button to something other than 'Delete" ?

Take the back off of your "pretty awesome looking keyboard" strip out the guts to that key

All newer keyboards, from what I've seen can be altered to change what each key pressed corresponds to. For instance, on mine, I don't use the "E-mail" button in the top-center of my keyboard, so I changed it to "My Pictures" instead. Just try the control panel >> Keyboard and you *should* be able to configure it in there. Let me know what happens in any case.

As for me one time I rewired a keyboard so it wasn't in qwerty anymore but in alphabetical order. That made it very difficult to type with.

there is nothing under the control panel for my keyboard except drivers. As soon as I find out what happened to that damned phillips screwdriver, I'll show that stupid power button... or I'll have to get myself a replacement keyboard.
