Inferences are just that.....inferences.

They can be 'made' to imply anything you 'want' them to, but generally people will take it as an attack when it's just as likely to be totally innocuous...

All this over a 2 rating. Ratings are over rated, be thankful you got your work accepted.

I know Brad has said this before but it is worth repeating .... WC is a 'skinning site'.
Walls are ( and this is not verbatim ) 'not a priority ' ....
So if Brad rated your work but passed it for upload you've dodged the first bullet.
If I dislike something I don't bother commenting .... and I tend to avoid doing so even if I do like an upload because too many people get the hump about a positive comment as well as a negative one.
And after all is said and done, opinions are like bottoms .... everyone has one.

Not meant as a personal attack (because i dont know anyone) here but IF I were to ever upload anything and the community's rating wasn't what I had hoped for...

I wouldnt blame the community. I would take it as my work isnt up to par. I understand that the rating system is under scrutiny here but dont we all fall under the same criteria when uploading?

Take responsibilityy for your own actions. Be patient, wait and see what happens with the ratings before ranting about it. I have seen some pretty incredible work on this site. I trust everyones judgement. Life isnt fair and never will be. You are angry and venting out at whomever opens the door for you.

About the walls... Dont tell me what is good, I can figure that out for myself. Wall 1-rating 5...wall 2-rating 3...wall3-rating 1.This is my completely unbiased opinion.

well i for one went through and looked at the aforementioned skins.. macro to be honest, because you desire the honesty, they were moderate skins. they weren't amazing but they definitly were not trash. it looks like you went at the design for DESKTOP in mind, as you should. very relaxed, very light. they have a reason and for that they are the wall papers i would expect to see make it onto a site that boasts pristeige.

if that was the low end of what they were accepting i would understand a 1 or 2 rating. however in the grand scehme of things i've been running across some .. honestly.. absolute junk that has made it on to this site and when i see 'the finest wall paper collection on the internet' i feel.. kinda mislead. i hear that the rating system is being revamped/reconsidered and that being the case i'm suprised they were not given 6's by the moderators as was usual. because in the grand scheme of things, they are mediums. i can see frog boys logic but other admins must have a completly different eye for these things.

the small series of #14, for example (sorry duno how to draw a link to it from in WC browser). i understand the kids' not a pro but we're talking: draw a mess in bryce and hit it with a plastic wrap in photoshop. he's got a fan. that's great. but put it on deviant art, not on the 'best of the net'. i was really hurt to see that made it through moderation. and there are many things like this that do.

yadda yadda what's my point? macro - the ratings at this point are meaningless.. don't be discouraged. but admins - if the bar is going to be raised on the ratings, why not on the submissions altogether?
