NvidiaGEForce4 MX 420 ???

Keith.....it really depends on whether you like playing a lot of games or not. It was a reasonable card a year ago and can still handle todays games but not as well as todays graphics card. I am not a big gamer but i had a card similar to yours but decided that i would like a little extra performance but i could not afford much. I plumped for an nVidia FX5200 and i am very happy with its performance for the cost. If i was a real game fan i would have gone up a notch to an FX5600. Their are some great deals on at the moment for the FX5600 cards if you shop around.

Oh! and BTW guys........please lets not turn this thread into an nVidia versus ATI battleground

But your card is just fine really, if you are doing 3D rendering and possibly very large graphics editing then one with more ram is always a good option. But I wouldn't worry to much about the Ultra's or Pro versions of vid cards unless your doing or planing on doing 3D animations and Rendering.

It is a very basic card; if it's holding up now, there's no reason to change. The FX5200 goes for about $100 and the 5200 Ultra for about $155 while a Radeon 9600SE goes for about $130. Yes you will notice an improvement but like I said, unless it's evident don't worry about it.

If you would consider it, what's your price range?
