I thought the key for start 11could be used on more than one computer. Can someone plase confirm if thats true or not?

It depends on which version you buy. There is a single license and a five pack available. Single works on one computer at a time, five license lets you have five installations. Installations can be deactivated to allow reuse if for example you replace a computer.
