Whenever I turn on the taskbar functions this happens, all I want is to uncombine my tabs!

You need to update to the 1.41 beta as your computer has an optional preview Microsoft update on it which has big taskbar changes when on a tablet device.

This is available in the Stardock store page under downloads when you login.
