I just got done looking over the board and it was very disturbing. The "Does anyone take requests? Will pay!!" got way out of control.
In jumping the gun too quickly, Uzee is being given even more power. I can see him taking great satisfaction in the fact that an innocent person was treated in such an awful manner.
I think it's time to just not answer in a thread if you think it is Uzee unless you can do so in a civil manor.
Uzee needs to be just ignored or "yes I know it would be hard" treated in a respectful manor. The best way to get rid of him is to not give him any power. He has control in some respects right now because we as a community have allowed him to do so. It is time to take control back.
Answer threads like you would for any other member and just ignore it if you do not feel you can do so. Us the typical internet safety measure, if you are not sure about a link just do not open it.

Always remember that we are not the only ones that read this board. There are probable many people out there that just read things but never really post. Just think of how we must look to them when they read threads like the one I referred to. This is not the way we really are and it's time to put it all to a stop.

I don't post here very often for the reasons that Keila stated in her post. There are times when I feel like jumping in and saying exactly what Keila said, but I refrain for obvious reasons. She's right on the money with this one.

Before taking any kind of action people, be it purchasing a new car or slamming someone on a message board, get the facts.... always get the facts!

Keila, I must say I'm sorry if I was wrong. I shouldn't be so quick to jump all over someone thinking it's uzee just because he or she is a newbie, afterall, I started the thread "Stop feeding the beast" and what happens, I jumped into another thread started by Imnotcool(newbie)and ran all over the guy believing it was uzee, not cool at all. I agree with you Keila, stop giving the power to uzee and maybe he will give up and fade away for good.....cooler heads must prevale

It has reached almost 'Salem Witch Trials' proportions now in that any unfamiliar face is treated as the enemy and attacked regardless of the lack of evidence. I very nearly started a thread myself about this until I saw that Keila had beaten me to it.

If we want this site to be seen as full of mature, friendly people then we need to get our act together a little. We certainly don't want to bring our own reputation down if it can be avoided through simple forethought.

As for Uzee himself, what is it about him that gets everyone so upset? If you see him as the attention-grabbing little kid he is, and treat him accordingly by ignoring his pleas for attention, then eventually he'll get bored and move elsewhere. While he remains the main subject of conversation, he'll only stick around more to see what people say about him next.

So let's not cause aafuss by accusing innocents without knowing uzee are.

Does it really matter if it was or wasn't him?The next person with a new account # might be innocent. What happens then? Someone thinks its UZEE and everyone jumps on him! I really think it would be best to just ignore that thread before everyone burns him.

While nobrains/Imnotcool evidently is history, still best not to go on an oozehunt since inevitably he manages to reveal himself (one imagines that's part of the "fun") and gets exiled again. And if he doesn't reveal himself, that means he is behaving himself fairly well (for the moment) and that's ok too as long as the board isn't disrupted.

Best to let those who can read the IP's make the determination of who's whoozee.

Makes no difference. There is a certain way that people should conduct themselves at this board know matter who you are or how long you have been here. I agree that uzee is a big problem but so is the little brat that may live down your street. You cannot really do anything about it yourself " like swear at him or beat him" you let his/her parents take care of it. I think in this case that the admins have done a wonderful job of keeping track of Uzee especially Karma. Lets just leave it to them and stay out of it. I also think that if we cannot and break the rules of the site that we should also get into trouble. Just like we would if we swore at or beat on the brat down the street.

Seems there's always gonna be one or two that make it hard to be the 'newbies'( Like me) Keila hit it right on the nose though.. ..got some great people running this site and taking care of business...and I'm finding out this is a good place to be..want to thank you ALL (cept the bad guys) for this medium, your work and dedication and the forum that goes with it.. Good people here...the ones that aren't will fade away...At this point not sure how tomorrow will turn out but won't change my mind about this place..Good Site Good People...Appreciate It!
