About those top authors. . . .

can some tell me what determines who is a 'top author', because I will see a name on the list and as time goes by it slowly works it's way down until. . .poof! it not ont the list any more.

It goes by downloads for the day from those that are logged in to WC.

Yeah, think of it as an 'elevator ride' some days they are at the top floors, some days they are at the basement
