While I agree totally with all of you about the CAPS, a more diplomatic way of telling someone NOT to use them could have been used. There are lots of people that don't understand "netiquette". While there is nothing wrong with any of the comments that were made, the offender ended up being the offended.
I think that CurleySue might not have known about "netiquette". If it had been patiently explained to her/him the whole exchange might have been avoided. Simply telling someone to stop isn't very diplomatic. I know no one has to be diplomatic, but it does help.
CuleySue, if you read this, Any website, no matter where it is hosted, can be accessed globally. So the statement
just doesn't apply anywhere on the net. I would assume there is a fairly large percentage of the visitors of this site that are not American.
