Fences Crashes when undocked

At the office, I have my laptop docked and 2 external monitors and fences works fine.  When I come home, I get fences found problems with its integrity and should be reinstalled.   Doing a purge and reinstall (The only instructions I've found for fixing this error)  nets the same failure.  When I get back to the office and reconnect fences will again work fine.  This has now followed me for 1903 and 2004 builds of Windows 10 Pro and is getting quite aggravating.   Has anybody else seen this behavior?   If so, how do you cure it?

When you are at work, I suspect you are using Fences folder portals that connect to a network drive that populates with data only accessible from the network \ while at work.

As a test, remove any folder portals before returning home to see if the issue persists.
