Scanning groupy in VirusTotal

Hello Friends,

I am wanting to use groupy at work but my place of employment wont allow me to install groupy on my work computer because it failed a VirusTotal scan. Although, my boss mentioned that If I try and contact Stardock and see what they say regarding the scan I might be allowed to use it.

So my question is: Was this more then likely a false positive?

Thanks for the help! I am dying to use this software on my work computer. I truly believe it will help me be more productive.

If you received the installer from us, yes.

Most such false positives are the fact that the virus software is not familiar with the app.

Thanks for confirming this. Could you reply with this in an email. My boss wants this confirmation that it's a false positive in an email. So he can have record of it.

I'm unable to install anything due to everything under the sun flagging both object desktop and fences installs. Firefox browser guard, Malwarebytes, Comodo, Windows Defender all prevent me from doing anything with it. They are flagging irsetup.exe. I get that there are false positives, but this is a lot. I could barely get to stardock.com, had to VPN to get to it since it's IP is blacklisted in snort and suricata.

Malwarebytes browser plugin blocks all downloads. It doesn't block stardock.com just the downloads. I've tried object desktop and fences and both are a B to get to download but no way I'm installing till this comes back clean. I just installed fences not too long ago and this didn't occur.

I'm now getting good downloads and everything is installing fine. Files are different obviously.
