CursorFX Activation

Can not activate CursorFX

Installed, but could find no links to activate anywhere within the program. Nothing in the guide either. Read in a forum that I could use old CursorXP cursors if I double-clicked them. Tried one and lo and behold my web browser opened to an activation screen. So that's where that activation link was hiding. Had a text file downloaded to my computer, after which I was to submit it back for activation. The web site claimed there was no record of my purchase despite my purchasing history showing otherwise. Uninstalled and ran the purge .dat file. Reinstalled. Now when I try to simple launch the program, I get a "A referral was returned from the server" message, and no running program. To put it as benignly as possible, I am exasperated. What do I have to do to get this program to work? Thank you.

OK, finally got his thing to work. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 SP1. Initially there was no activation screen. Uninstalled, purged, reinstalled. Program wouldn't even start. Got a message instead: "A referral was returned from the server." Googled solution. First solution, run as administrator, didn't work. Second solution, change User Account Control Settings from Always notify to Never notify was the winner. Instantly, the activation screen popped up. Entering the Product Key did not work, but I think that was a firewall issue. Proceeded to the alternative method, and was able to upload the text file and then download the .bin file. Up and running. Was then able to change the Account settings back to Always notify. I love this program. Have used the free CursorXP program for years. Wanted access to the myriad CursorFX cursors. Just wish there weren't so many potential pitfalls, and hoops to jump through!
