Still black maps

So after all those years there is still the black map problem it seems, i bough FE with all DLC's, latest version 2.0

I reinstalled all VLC's and DX , turned off anti alias.. turned off/on everything on my AMD card , launched it through steam and AMD .. the issue continues and makes the game unplayable.

No mods

So looking at the data myself i found a few things .. will have to hear the expert tho

Error. String Not Found. Table: EmpireTreeCategoryHeaderEntryWnd String Name: Category1 Debug Message: CMapViewWindow failed to set DXSAS UI parameter: Threshhold in effect: edgedetect becuase the DXSAS engine was not initialized

And the error list goes on and on.. the hell is this.. unfinished game?

Ok seems AMD had driver issues , half the world couldn't play DX9 games lol

Upgraded to Adrenalin latest version 17.5.1 , the issue seems to be gone for now, tho i still need to test it by playing more as 30 seconds

It's sometimes pretty annoying , i worked with DOS since 1984 and windows since it came out and always managed to solve my problems with the OS or games, sometimes there are thing you cannot fix yourself , like this one... glad so many people complained and they actually added support back on AMD for DX9.

Random crashes still happen, but at least the black map is solved

You can either Delete this thread or keep it for future reference if people have the same problem
