I can buy a starbase or ship or colony but not a shipyard.
I can not simply destroy it for am allied with them.
Why should you need to deal with someone else's shipyard? There is nothing useful that I know of in owning another player's shipyard.
ForesterSOF makes a case that has been bro't up before. Your ally's planet is conquered by a mutual enemy. You 'liberate' the strategically located planet and your ally's shipyard is still there intact. You're unable to negotiate trading or buying it as current diplomacy options stand.
