Hello everyone! First off, I'm a rather new Sorcerer King player, so excuse me for noob-like inquiries.
My concern today is that for the last 40 or so turns, the Sorcerer King has stopped threatening me!
I'm not sure what could have caused this. He was contacting me every few turns, complaining about my 'expansion' into his realm, controlling so many shards, attacking his troops, well as building cities. But it abruptly stopped, and I just realized I haven't heard from him in a good long time.
I am on turn 189, with 8 cities and some pretty epic champions. I've destroyed TONS of the Sorcerer's forces, and I actually just took down a stronghold. I'm slowly pressing into his territory, and I've even got the doom counter going in reverse by popping the doom reducing spell on occasion. (My per-turn mana gain is close to a hundred.)
I've also allied with all of the races, which was a huge contribution to reducing the doom. I'm below 90 now. The highest I ever got was something like 170. I am playing on Normal.
I'm not bragging, though. I realize none of this is probably that big a deal, as it's my first game and I accomplished all of this with only mild issue. What I'm driving for is WHY he stopped threatening me. It even seems like he's still 'ignoring' me, as my threat level hasn't gone past 2/5 yet. It did hit 3/5 one time, but I groveled a whole bunch and then it went back down to 2.
Can somebody enlighten me to this weirdness? I feel like he should be doing everything in his power to stamp out my existence - I'm on the verge of surpassing his power in the report. Aren't I considered a high-threat by now?
