Alan Rickman Passes Away

from Elemental Forums

Alan Rickman passed away this past week.  I loved his work as an actor.  His craft included shakespeare, 'Victorian' England, classic drama, Diehard's villian, two scifi flicks (Galaxy Quest and Dogma), and lastly as Snape at Hogwarts.  By Grapnor's hammer, break a leg in the world to come.

 

EDIT: I'm sot supporting his politics - merely that I enjoyed his acting roles.

Actors are typically idiots to begin with, and most of the world favors the Palestinians even when they're actively blowing people up in restaurants.  It's not like he was eating babies or porking his sister, he just had too much of his brain geared towards excellent acting, with little left over for critical thinking.  Seeing necessity in violence is hard for the artsy types to begin with.

Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction.  Pro Palestinian movement to get the UN to corn hole Israel for such evil things as not bulldozing legally purchased home sites to give them back to the people that sold them, or bulldozing a home people are firing rockets from.  It's mostly carried by the arts, but then most stupid causes are. :)
