[1.0] Assorted Bugs

I had not yet seen any of these reported. A few bugs my husband and I have noticed on our recent play sessions with the Commander sovereign:

  • Grain and material values on fertile land tiles will disappear, and will only reappear once the game is saved and reloaded.
  • The Archivist building isn't providing a shard bonus to Lore as stated in the tooltip.
  • When a champion gets webbed in tactical combat, it reduces their strategic movement to zero also.
  • The ranger hero Peregan's Survivalist skill isn't removing the terrain penalties from his army as stated in the tooltip.

Finally, this may be more of a complaint than a bug. As stated above, we are playing the Commander sovereign who starts with Varda the Slayer as his hero. The first statue champion we found and rescued happened to be...Varda the Slayer. Who was rescued BY Varda...and decided to join Varda... Having two versions of the same hero running around the world is very confusing.

Other bugs I have found in the past few days.

1.  No idea how vengeance works.  The only time I got vengeance was when the hero died.  Other units don't produce vengeance.  

2.  Ice wind is defaulting to the dwarf hero only.  I have a yeti hero with that same ability but am unable to use the spell except n the dwarf army.

 

Overall the hero's seem unbalanced.  The dwarf lord is a one man army destroyer, polar vortex and then area attack, with the " keep attacking after a kill" ability just being rediculous.  But Tanaris and many other melee units are simply single unit destroyers.  

Not seeing much use of the military units given by allies, they all die so easily.  

The special elemental ability that does 5 damage plus 1 per shard for "20" mana, wtf?  

Not sure why there are so many good sword recipes bit barely any axe or bow ones.

 

I like it but the random bugs are quite annoying.
