*dons helmet of Nitpicking*

That's a nice spoiler you got there in your title.

I am sure it spoils all the fun for everyone interested to know there will be a blackhole in the movie called Interstellar.

Then again, there is very little point to putting any information about a movie's content in the title to a thread about it, especially before it's been released. That is, other than to ruin it for those of us who wish to go into the theater without knowing half the bits and pieces about it.

How was i supposed to name the thread then? Best CGI representation of a blackhole so far? Only for you to click on the hyperlink and find out its about Interstellar and be "spoiled" anyway?

Dont overreact please. I am really in no mood to argue about this. It wont spoil the movie for you one bit, the only thing you know now, if you really havent seen a single trailer, that yes, the name of the movie has sort of literal meaning, but i guess you already suspected that.

[quotes don't work]

It's common courtesy to warn people of 'spoilers' if/when there is the potential to SPOIL.

A person's 'mood' is immaterial...;)

Yeah, kinda wish I hadn't seen this thread title.

Edit: A good thread title would've been "Awesome CGI from Interstellar"

@Timmaigh except now I know there's a black hole involved, I can surmise that it's going to be related to travel and maybe even time travel. Now I'm not just watching a movie about interstellar travel, now I'm watching a movie about interstellar travel which is going to have a black hole involved. A little bit of wonder and mystery is lost, and for what? Because you can't think up an actually decent title? Cauldyth has a good suggestion, or just a general thread about the movie would have sufficed.

PS. The whole point is that we can't actually "avoid" reading your thread title, whereas it is entirely possible to avoid watching a trailer. I did watch the trailer before, but I didn't think parts of it was showing a black hole. See how tiny snippets of information can be put together to ruin the experience of a movie? I'm not asking for bloody miracles here, just a little bit of caution with not putting spoilers in titles before releases.

@Heavenfall> you can surmise what you want, but at the same time, all of it is just your guesswork and you cant be sure of anything until you actually see it. And as you said, you have seen the trailer, so what is the problem here? Would you like to tell me that i revealed more about the movie than was revealed in the trailer? And that based on the trailer you had no idea the movie is going to be about interstellar travel? Or is the bit of info about blackhole so critical to you, that now in addition to trailer you have seen, the movie is ruined for you and you wont be now going to cinema to see it?

If yes, i sincerely apologize. If not, i maintain my opinion, that you are overreacting.

@ Jafo> i am aware of common courtesies, except i dont think i broke any over here. Its not like i revealed something from actual plot. And my mood is pretty material to me, thank you.

If it means you won't spoil anything else, then imagine that I answered yes to those questions.

Yeah, ok, I'll admit it, I'm overreacting. Now please don't do it again.

I will try to be more careful next time, you have my promise.

And i already changed the name of the topic as Cauldyth suggested, probably too late, but better than never, i guess.
