I really like the art work used to create the announcement robot that appears at the completion of a tech research. Kudos to StarDock.
Really? I did not see any robot for techs while playing Altarians this morning. What race are you playing LJ?

I just tried the Altarians and got the robot after completing my first tech. I went looking for an option but didn't see any that looked like it would turn it on or off.
I remember from GCII that the tech announcing robot changed appearance based on the player's ethical alignment, I wonder if that is making a return or if the robot will take on a distinct appearance for each civilization, or perhaps a mix of both (though that might be a bit too much work for what is purely an aesthetic feature). Either way I agree it is a nice touch, I also like the return of the sometimes witty tech descriptions after researching them in that same screen.
