[1.5] [Crash] Dx Error rapid crashes

System: Windows 7 64bit
Cpu:  AMD Athlon II X2 250
Mem:  8192Mb (Kingston)
Graphics card: PowerColor Radeon HD 4670
Driver: Catalyst 13.9

Played on: Steam
Test game: Map HUGE, 10 enemies
Tested on high/low graphic settings.

Problem: Crash to Windows (Dx Error: Invalic Call)
How it happens: Crashes happen often (once per 15-20 turns). Mostly when a lot of things are going on the screen (only on strategic map, it never crash in tactical battle) - click on unit from the other part of map, click on research, click on trade etc. (so the reason seems to be random, just heavy load included).
Mostly screen hangs on few seconds then go black then crash or go back to game (for me it looks like graphic card is rebooting).

I now get this error too, but only once or twice in three hours. It started out of the blue. I played 1.5 without this error until last week.

This is happening to me.  I can't really play the game because I keep getting ctd after about 5 turns and it says DX error invalid call

Me too.

Looks like it isnt a driver/card issue  because I use a Nvidia

2500k

nvidia 760

8gb ram

windows 7 64 bit.

I deleted my settings and re-installed the game, at first it was ok but after....about  1 hour the dx  invalid calls kept coming back

So what do we all have in common?  It doesn't look like hardware because mine is different also.  I have been working with 2 different techs on my issue but to no avail yet.

I am on windows 7 64 bit

16 GB ram

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660

It looks like problem is with Windows 7 64bit. It`s probably bigger issue. This is why, I think, we don`t have devs replay yet.

Could you guys tell me if your faulting module name is "MSVCR80.dll" ?

If you check in the action center (that flag on the bottom right in your taskbar)

Open action center

choose maintenance

view reliability history

click on row with red x and locate Elemental: Legendary Heroes (listed by date, search for whenever you had Legendary heroes crash)

right click and choose view technical details

look for faulting module name under Problem signature.

Sorry if there is an easier way to do this.  this is the only way I know how.

Three crashes this week in MSVCR80.dll. This is really getting frustrating when you can't play more than an hour without getting kicked out of the game.  It also looks to me like the saves are getting corrupted. I had a custom unit with a pretty generic icon, after I loaded autosave after a crash they are all now wearing huge flowing blue capes and riding wargs. :omg:
