[1.4] Ineluctable vision doesn't "turn off" when enchantment is dispelled

Links with pics included

I cast ineluctable vision and had it active for quite a while. I decided I didn't need it, and canceled the enchantment, but I could still see the entire map.

The first pic shows the minimap. The entire map can be seen.

The second pic shows the enchantment list. Inelectable vision was dispelled, and not on the list.

the third pic shows the spell book. Ineluctable vision is not "grayed out". That is, it's available to be cast, and not active.

Hopefully that's enough to show that there is an issue.

Not sure your links are working...

Is this 1.3? Because they changed it in 1.4

It's 1.4. Sorry about the links. I think I fixed them.

Can everyone see the links?

I can confirm your dropbox links are valid.

Not sure what you're expecting to happen, though. Do you want the portion of the map that was previously unknown (prior to casting I.V.) to go black again?

That's what happened when the AI cast the spell and then cancelled it.  Only things that were not visited by any unit ever went black again though.

The map should show an after image when it is dispelled. Similar to using the cheat when you make visible the entire land then turn off the cheat. It is not properly cancelling the effect.

Yes, that's what I would expect to happen. For example, I never visited the wildlands, so when the spell is dispelled, it should go black. (Both the mini map and the main map)

After all, what's the point of having a manna maintenance costs, if you can cast it for one turn then dispell it, and still have the benefit of it.

IMO, I think that explored (black removed from the map) should remain.  Once you know it's there, you might as well leave it on the map.

However, once dispelled you should no longer still be able to see units, build queues, etc. in the area covered by the "fog of war", unless you have a unit, city, or outpost within "viewing range".

This would mean that the effect of casting then dispelling is similar to sending out a rush of scouts to view all areas of the map at once, then pulling them all back. I think that's OK; after all, you paid most of the cost up front in casting the spell, and the residual maintenance cost seems fair (or maybe even a little low) for the ongoing benefit of seeing enemy troop movements and build queues.

Yes, this makes sense. I don't know if it's visible on the pics I provided, but I was still able to see monsters and troops after dispelling IV.
