No Windows Start Button is shown, since I activated my Media Center Licence on Windows 8.1 RTM.
I use Start8 v1.20.
I would uninstall and reinstall Start8 as clearly something has gone wrong somewhere.
You might also want to check the Stardock Start8 service is set to autostart in services.
