I have been playing this game since EWOM. I really liked the game despite its issues. I am starting to see a pattern with all of the patches, and expansions that I do not like. Instead of fixing issues with a mechanic like Influence or the Dynasty system the designer just removes it from the game entirely. Every time something is removed from the game it feels like something has been lost. Any thoughts or ideas?

To be fair, the Influence system did not really work. I ended up using Influence in trades with AI's and not much else. The current system feels much better, so I don't think we lost anything there. No comment on Dynasties since I did not play E:WOM.
