Citizens in cities

i was wondering if there was a mod or something to put the townsfolk back into the cities themselves as the cities now look vacant and lifeless. i miss the little animations seeing people tend to the farms, inhabiting other buildings etc... just wondering why they were taken out in the first place. Perhaps to free up resources for lower end computers? is there a way to get them back?

I would also like to see citizen specialists (like in civ games) added to FE.

Last I heard, the option for citizens in cities were disabled on 32-bit systems.  We'd need confirmation that the option is still available on 64-bit Windows.

well i am not playing the game anymore until i can see the citizens again. i barely played for five minutes when i realized something that is essential to me was missing...

i bought the collector's edition of elemental back in 2010 and i just realized that i am entitled to fallen enchantress for free and one of the features detailed is how you can zoom in and see the citizenry tend to the buildings that they occupy... hope that feature is still in. it is a shame i have to go back to an older game to see something that should be a part of the current game as well as it adds to the charm and individuality of the game.

End of StevenAus's quote

as far as I know, this is the case. 64bit get pedestrians and 32bit do not. Very annoying because my 32bit machine could run them...though I do understand that not everyone's could.

Still would really like the option to toggle on/off pedestrians.
