Dissapearing Settleable Tiles

Two turns ago, seven or eight tiles of prime real estate disappeared. My pioneer was about 4 turns away.

I had seen these tiles about 15 turns ago, and cast a few Arcane Monoliths around them so that the land would be mine and hence off-limits to rival settlers. Eventually got some settlers out and sent them underway. When I reloaded the game, the tiles are no longer there. Nothing has encroached upon my Arcane Monolithic land, and no new towns were produced (by me or anyone else) nearby, and it doesnt seem as if anyone has cast salt the earth. (EDIT: I cast Revive the Land just in case, to test, but no luck.)

Is this a bug?

Hover your cursor over the tiles that should have yields on them and see if the box describing the terrain type shows yields. Sometimes the main map display of the tile yields disappears, but I've never seen the terrain description box fail to list yields on settlable tiles.

Sounds like a bug to me.
