Some quests not quite finished

I've run into a couple of quests which seem as if they might need a little polishing.

- The Assassin's Blade doesn't end, at least not for me. The last stage of the quest reads "Have the assassin's blade". Well, I DO have it. But that doesn't seem to trigger the end of the quest.

- I've gathered a couple of Dragon's Eyes from the Lost Eye quest. Obtaining the Eye does end the quest, but the Eye doesn't have a value?

Assassin's blade, you must have the blade in your inventory (not equipped) and go to the start of the quest.

The dragon eyes, I believe you need to find 3 dragon statues. One of them gives you a quest to return eyes to it, and that is what one does with those eyes.

I think I've noticed more than one quest where I've finished them, there weren't any optional paths - straightforward "do this" and the result screen shows +0 fame and +0 XP!

A couple of quests with no rewards.   I think this is the case with a few quests and you picking the "wrong" path on the quest but I'm talking about quests with only 1 path.

Anyone else notice some of these?

Yes, I've noticed some of these as well

Some map triggers seem to be broken as well. I loaded a game in which one of the Wildlands, in this case: Imperium, was entirely devoid of monsters or lairs. I know it had some when I had first uncovered that part of the map, but now there are no traces of any creatures, including lairs to clear (yes I have cast Ineluctable Vision). The land is unsettleable (it still belongs to Imperium) and the quest unfinishable.

No, the tiles belong to Imperium, and are still shaded in the darkish green hue signifying Wildlands. They are entirely unsettleable, even by the AI. I have attempted to put an Outpost anywhere within the Imperium lands, and receive the error message to the extent that I cannot settle on land owned by another faction. Imperium is unclearable, because the trigger which is necessary to clear it (I am assuming a particular monster or its lair) is absent.

Primal savage is correct. There is exactly 1 and only 1 tile to settle in the Imperium. This is the only tile to settle in the imperium all other tiles are off limits to any other player improvements until you actually settle that tile. I have cleared the imperium before, but if there is another city that is too close to the tile in the imperium, you can not settle and thereby you cannot clear the wildland.

You can check this with cheats if you like. Appropriate ones you will want is ctrl+t for teleport, ctrl+u to see the entire land. If you want to do it via pioneer you might need ctrl+m for money and ctrl+r for research (the ability to rush).

I cannot find any single tile to settle in Imperium. I am unable to "clear" Imperium because there appears to be nothing to clear. There are no settlements or outposts in it. I cannot place a settlement or *outpost* in any tile.

Yet if what you say is true, then the Quest seems oddly planned, since there are resources to be had there, yet these cannot be reaped without some form of outpost.

Here is a picture of the tile that you can settle

and here is my sovereign over said tile showing that you can settle there

The tile that you can settle only shows IF there are no other cities too close.

I believe you are misunderstanding me.

I cannot see from your screenshot if the tile is considered part of Imperium or not. Can you hover your mouse over that tile and have a screenshot of the bottom right?

The screenshot does show the bottom right (sometimes the page doesn't load it correctly, refresh the page and it will show up correctly) you can also click on the picture below.

The tile is part of the imperium, you can settle there. Once you settle the land completely clears up and you can then set outposts, but you first need to settle that specific tile. As was mentioned if cities are too close this tile will not show up and you need to remove the cities in order to get access to that tile.

OK thank you, I will try to find that game, reload, and destroy any outposts or cities nearby to see if that tile is there. Oddly enough, I do not remember cities being nearby, and I do remember that when I came across the wildlands later in the game again, it was entirely empty, and I have never seen the AI clear it out before. THank you, I'll look into that
