Would like to be able to destroy own mercenary camp


I inadvertently built a mercenary camp in an Outpost ZoC I control. I did not realize that this resource gives me a horrendously feeble unit costing 4.5 gildar wages per turn. I would be more than happy to destroy this camp I control, or unbuild it, but I see no means of doing so, short of destroying my outpost (which I otherwise need). That could be addressed in a patch.

Additionally, it might be worthwhile considering making mercenary camps slightly less awful.

hm, wage costs for mercenaries, knights of Asok and hunters were supposed to be removed in the last patch, so this is definitely a bug. The amazing thing is that these wage costs have already been removed a couple of times now and they still keep coming back...

Depends on if you are playing a pre-1.3 patch save, as the patch only affected new campaigns, not existing ones. (Something about the way saves work.)

Saves save all XML data that applies to the game from when the game was started, including user content.  It was made this way so they could release patches and not invalidate in-progress games.

Wages are zero in my current game.

I use the feeble mercenaries to block friendly factions from desirable locations.

Used to be able to build a camp for darklings and spam the map with them.  The junkyard had 3 camps.
