Army stacks

Just curious if this happens to anyone else.  I will conquer a city and 2 units will occupy the city while the other 6 sit outside each in their own army.

Is there a way to combine all the units in one tile into an army with out moving them?

Does the AI not attack for a turn so that these single units don't get slaughtered?

On another note,  If I have two armies in a tile.  One real army and one pioneer.  Why does the AI get to attack my pioneer?

Sorry,  I guess there are a few things I am asking about.  :)

I got the answer to the third part up there last night.  2 of my army in the city,  4 outside in solo stacks.  Kraxis killed the baron I just finally got to make.  Pretty lame!

No responses.  Just trying to figure out if my install is bugged or if this happens to everyone!

Sounds like a bug.  Although newly created units will appear outside the city unless the option for "Units Stationed In City" or whatever its name is is on.

Your first question = a bug.

Second question = that's normal. You can also select which army to attack if it's the other way around.

Thank you for the response!  I guess maybe I will reinstall and see if it clears up.  Happens a lot to me!

I did not know that about the multiple armies!  I will have to pay closer attention next time!

I love this game,  still learn something new every time I play!
