Pre-made Unit Design templates choose traits it cannot use

The pre-made unit designs still choose Plate  Mail proficiency and Chain Mail proficiency far too early. The fact that these templates are suggested for the player to use long before the player has researched the technology allowing her to actually train units with chain mail or plate mail is not terribly bothersome (I always simply edit it away), but it does hamper the AI. The AI often wanders around with units who could have had a different train or at least not wasted production time on a trait it cannot use.

I have always vaguely assumed that this is so the unit's armour can be upgraded. I don't know if the AI actually does this, though. If it doesn't then yes, building units with chain or plate proficiency is a significant disadvantage. If it does upgrade unit arnour then it's less clear-cut, especially on higher levels where the AI researches metal armour very quickly.

I am posting because I see the units running around in leather armor with plate mail proficiency. Maybe, occasionally, they might upgrade, but I've not seen it. I just don't think it is a good idea. I'd much rather see more "intelligent" design: plate and chain mail proficiency by defenders once the tech has been researched, not before. There are other traits to choose as well!

I've edited a considerable portion of the units so that the wraith race doesn't choose to use the armor proficiencies. In the process of updating without the extra mod bit, that will remove that chain proficiency if you select light plate. The mod will work in its present state, but I'm still updating it for all the other slight oddities that occur in the game.

Just playing Resoln for the first time, and see that the very first units it learns to train ("Sentinels of Hagudst") come pre-made with the Plate Mail Proficiency trait.

Resoln is incapable of making any kind of armor above leather at any stage of the game.
