Possible pathing issue?

Assuming the same thing happens here with another machine that happens on mine, when you click the 'turn' button the hourglass will appear, but the turn will never end. You can still perform additional actions like queuing builds, and can also bring up the menu and quit, but you can't get to the next turn.

I think this may be some sort of pathing issue. I'd noticed before that if a unit (usually an elemental or demon, but this may be a coincidence) tries to move on the Strategic map past another faction's Outpost, they just stop next to it and the turn won't end until you manually guide them around it or tell them to stop moving. I assume in this case this has happened with a unit controlled by an AI player.

Alas. Magnar were my last faction for the full house. Hopefully this will be fixed in 1.3.

Hm. No joy on this one yet then? I must admit I'd like to know if the save is doing this for anyone else- I could back the saves up and reinstall, but I'd rather not do that without some idea of whether it might help.

The save games store all the xml data, so a backup and reinstall will likely have no effect.

Also I do not have the end turn problem as you do (I ended three turns without issue). Although your turns are taking quite a bit of time between. It could be a slower computer what are the specs.

It's certainly not a slow machine- it's an i7 with 8GB and a DX11 card, which I custom built to run Skyrim in 1080p. (Which it does, at 60fps)

I left the turn in the saved game for 15 minutes, nothing. The previous turn resolved in about five seconds, tops.

Thanks for trying the save, anyway. I might try a reinstall regardless, just in case something has messed up somewhere.

That is definitely not a slow machine (faster than mine). Grasping at straws to determine why it won't end for you and will end for me. The turns are a might bit longer than the ones that I usually have, but maybe the devs can figure this one out to prevent it from happening in the future.

Turns ended just fine for me too.

Very odd.

Things I've tried so far: Deleted all my other saves (522mb worth) and turned off Autosave: no joy. Then tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Still no good.

I'm now leaving it chewing on the turn for an hour or so, just in case that makes a difference. Must admit I'm running out of ideas :(

Well I could end the turn save it and send you the next turn see if that helps.

There is your start of the next turn. Hope that fixes it... You finished a mason in one of your cities (if it doesn't tell you)

Astoundingly enough, that worked!

I'm now confused, bewildered, befuddled and very grateful :)

Whether comparing the two saves might shed some light on my problem, I don't know. Ah well, with luck it'll never happen again...

I talked to the developers about your issue.  They weren't able figure out a cause either.  But will will keep an eye out for it in case it happens in house or someone has one that is reproducable.

I've had the exact same bug about 5 times. It usually occurs after playing 30minutes and only until the mid game (i have 13 midlvl cities and 8 enemy A.I.s).

Makes the game sadly unplayable, i can save while the bug appears but i have to close the program manually and restart, then reload. Every time.

I supect it has something to do with the excessive memory usage by LH, since it did not occur at all in the early game.

This happens to me at least once during every play through. I've been unable to find any commonalities between the crashes, though it seems to happen less when auto turn is on.
