DLC MAP Pack

  Well got the DLC map pack and first thing I noticed is there are still no huge or larger MAP's. ie there's no MAP in the DLC pack any larger then the large map that LE already had. Why is this? Limiting a game to really just 6 positions when with custom builds and mods there potentially so many more seems just well so ... limited.

 

   Also noticed even with just the recommended number of positions one can wind up with a terrible starting position with the new map packs. (ie only on area with essences in your start area and that's a 3 grain, 4 prod, 1 essences and only 1 quest in a range of 6 and that's strong when your still level one) Not sure if that's just buggy or ment to challenge those of us that are bored with the easy AI on challenging (epic).

At least your able to see the new maps. I have downloaded the map pack yet no new maps show in my game. And I still have not heard from Support yet.

The Anthys map is 2x larger than a standard elemental huge map I believe.

The Anthys map is 2x larger than a standard elemental huge map I believe.

   Not that I can see the anthys map is listed as only Large with a max recommended number of factions at 7 not even the full number of base factions. If I'm being dumb and missing something here please let me know. otherwise it looks like false advertising to me.

The Anyths map is bigger than large. It was made with FE in mind and the largest label for maps there was Large, hence why you see large. Starting positions on the map are plentiful and can be used with more than 7. It has 28 start positions, and so you could effectively have 28 factions on the map. I would only recommend at most 12, to give you plenty of room to expand and give each faction some spreading room.

The map size from reading the file is 192 tiles by 128 tiles --- the standard large map size is 112 tiles by 96 tiles ---

The map is much bigger than a standard large map and has special tiles throughout to make some rather neat visuals.
