I'm stuck and quitting a game

I killed the 2 empire factions, made an ally of Pariden, and have a non-agg with gilden.  But Gilden will not present the chance to become an ally.   With 33 more seasons to end the non-agg, the game has become boring so I'm starting a new one.

I would do the same.  I just say "I win" and move on rather than grinding it out.

Thanks for the update!

Yeah, this can happen a lot: you own the map, but you're more or less friendly with 1 or more stragglers.

Since it's a single player game, it is completely up to you to finish the spell or quest, exterminate or befriend the others, or simply start a new game. It's a free world!

I notice that the Gilden AI is really aggravating....Malik's army would continually camp in my territory. Straggle behind my Army and covet my territory; then for some reason, he'd declare war, then I promptly stomped him.

Interesting to see these thoughts on Gilden. I too, have disliked the faction for many of the same reasons, among others (even insignificant ones, like their sov looks too much like one of my custom sovs).

Although most of my reasons revolve around minor irritations, I've since removed Gilden from my game completely.  Problem(s) solved.

Yep little things like this really detract from the game. there should be a way step up from non-agro to allied if one bribes them enough etc. The games AI at least on normal appears a bit dumb on thinking it can win and comiting suicide just because another AI pays it some coins. Tech levels really need to be considered in power ratings and not just the positions army size

Given that bribing the AI was a majorly important tactic in GC2, I'd be very surprised if it didn't work in LH.  Of course I haven't had a chance to try it, does it really not work?

Yeah, personally I'd try bribing the non-aggression pact AI or do the quest. Or you could just hit "End Turn" 33 times.
