Crash on load up ever since Map Pack DLC was released.

I have not been able to load up LH ever since there was an update on June 18th or 19th, which is when the LH Map Pack DLC was introduced.

I have LH on Steam.  I didn't, however, purchase the DLC on Steam or Stardock.  I was given the content through Steam for free.  I will post a more detailed process of the acquisition if necessary, but the main point is that after acquiring the DLC and updates I cannot get LH to load.  It will crash on the load up screen.

These are some of the things I have done so far in an attempt to get it to work:

I do not participate on any beta.

I have validated and verified game caches using Steam.

I have restarted Steam.

I have uninstalled LH off my PC and re-downloaded it.

I updated my NVIDIA driver to 320.18 and I use SLI for GTX-560 Ti

I use Kaspersky anti-virus and checked that my PC is not infected with viruses or trojans.

At this point, I haven't found a proper solution through Steam community hub or on the forums here at LH support.  If this issue requires me to contact Stardock support directly, then I will do so when I receive proper instructions.

Below are links to a several samples of the errors I received.

I hope that by bringing up this issue will help more to those facing this problem.

I hope Rivaire doesn't mind my posting about how his problem was fixed, maybe it will help someone in similar straits.

On a similar thread on the Steam forums, he mentioned that when restarting the game after validating files, only 1 file was shown as being reaquired. I suggested that it was likely the "prefs" files, resetting game preferences to default. He then found the(I assume) LH_prefs_setup, and after activating it, his game is now working, per his recent post on Steam's LH forum.

No idea if this will help anyone else, but felt it warranted mentioning.

Thanks for the followup.

And the Map Pack was released on the 20th, but it sounds like either way there was some local file corruption.

No, I don't mind if you post that my problem is fixed.  I'm not around often enough to keep posting my progress periodically.

I am also experiencing this sort of problem.  I just purchased this game and all DLC from Steam this morning, download/installed it and cannot start it successfully.  Everytime after I try, and it crashes, I run the Steam "Verify Integrity of Local Game Cache" and it finds one file is a problem and replaces it.  But when I go to start the game it crashes immediately after the start screen.

I thought it was related to the startup movie I never got to see, so I set "SkipIntro=1" in the prefs.ini file.  At that point, I am able to get to a startup menu for a few seconds where it crashes there.  I'm running a Windows 7 laptop with dual NVIDIA GTX 680M cards.

I've reinstalled/rebooted several times.

Was a solution found for this individual's problem, I believe the symptoms exactly mirror mine.

Thanks!

To add to this, I've gone into the NVIDIA settings and set maximum performance as the default to all programs, in addition to this game specifically.

I reread above and after downloading that corrected file that is discovered in the Steam "Verify Integrity of Local Game Cache", I ran  LH_prefs_setup - a window runs by too quickly to see what its doing..   After this and starting the game, again I am at a menu having skipped the startup video, I can browse the list for one second with my cursor when it then crashes.
