Ressource tiles inside city walls/fences

 Hi there,

as I'm new to FE:LH, I've got a question that maybe already asked here but I was not able to find the right thread for it. Additionally I have searched the manual over and over but did not find an answer.

If my cities grow and some ressource tiles, f.i. a crystal mine or so, are suddenly inside my walls or fences (I dont mean my empires borders but the fence/wall-zone that is directly around my cities core) - how can I interact with them? For instance upgrade them? If my technological level advances I am able to upgrade ressource tiles that are outside my city walls. But I can not do anything or do not find the right menu to do so, if they once are inside the walls.

So I now have an ogre cave inside my city walls and it says that I will be able to recruit two ogres. One ogre appeared after the complition of the tile improvement. But where to hire the other? Since I cannot click on the tile due to it being inside my inner city I dont know how to get that ogre.

You can upgrade via the city build screen. This is true of all resources connected to that city, not just the ones within the city proper.

As far as recruiting ogres (or any other monster/unit providing lair), they spawn after a certain time, you can't hurry the 2nd and later units, only the first by rush building the initial lair/camp (not sure what those are called off top of my head.)

It's correct that you can upgrade from the build screen, but I have wondered what would happen if your city expands over an unbuilt resource, as you have to click on it to build it initially, don't you?

I think I also "lost" a quest when an AI city expanded over the top of it.

An un-built resource? That's a good question, may have to try and remember that and play with it a bit.

If there is an unbuilt resource inside the city, you will be allowed to click on it and the "Build" option will appear.

An unbuilt resource, even if in the middle of a city, counts as a separate entity from the city.

I have conquered Resoln cities with shards altars in them. Since Resoln's are unique, they get razed. I then just click on the unbuilt shard, and it acts as though it were a new shard out in the wilds.

Interesting. I did not know that was a side effect to the conquering of Resolin cities.

However, I do know that if you are playing a faction with the binding trait, if your shard is incorporated into one of your cities, you no longer get to see the turns it takes till your next creature spawn....very annoying.

if you are binding the spawned unit gets the city's boons however. You can create quite evil groups of cyndrum demons (70 attack) with a good fortress and some enchantments near a death shard. just make sure the city touches the shard before you build it.

With corruption you can get a demon from everY shard. Keep some weak units (ruffians ideally) around to grow the group.

You can get all demons from your best fortress by sacrificing the weak ones then rebuilding the forteress shard Within ten turns.
