[1.1 Bug?] Diplomacy: Resoln hostile to Pariden, but Pariden close to Resoln?

I just noticed this, so I kind of doubt that it's new with 1.1, and for all I know there could be a reasonable explanation.  But it seems really odd that the foreign relations window could show that Resoln is hostile to Pariden:

Yet Pariden is close to Resoln:

Note that I'm playing Tarth in this game, so all of the item under "Relations with Us" refer to that faction's relations with Tarth.

Since I can't see the various factors affecting relations, I'm going to guess that Pariden with respect to Resoln has "We are impressed" +1, military is weak +1, other concerns +1, and too far away +1, but different allegiance -3, for a total of +1.  They don't have any active treaties or else they would show above.  So I'm not sure how a +1 gets to be "close".

Actually, I'm not sure how Resoln's total of -1 towards Tarth qualifies as warm, either, yet that's what the window shows.

A few turns later and both the trade and technology treaties Tarth had with Resoln have disappeared without notice, and relations have gone from warm to neutral to cool.  Could this be because of Ceresa's unstable trait?

I've noticed this too. But since they aren't at war or anything I think this is working correctly. Resoln could be hostile towards Pariden, but Pariden (being the friendly people that they are) could be close to Resoln. I might be wrong though.

might be because resoln is a lot more powerful than pariden (judging from # of cities, pop, research, income). the stronger faction is more likely to attack the weaker one than vice versa. "close" might actually be more like "afraid" in the case of pariden -> resoln.

Resoln was considerably more powerful than Pariden, you're right.  Earlier in the game Pariden had been paying them tribute.  So perhaps that explains it.
