Wish: fewer clicks to talk to one faction, then another faction

This is another place where remembering what the user did recently would reduce the number of clicks needed. Not as important as other places, because not as frequently done. Low priority, but would be a nice touch.

Situation: I want to talk to all the friendly factions, for possible trade or treaty talks.

What that requires now: For each faction, click "Govern", then "Foreign Relations". Now I can pick a faction. But as soon as I'm done talking, I'm back to square one. (Viewing the world map)  Why?

Easy change: When say "Goodbye", return to the "Foreign Relations" screen. Instead of dropping all the way back to the world map.

If that's all the talking I want to do, I simply say "Done" now. No big deal.

But if I want to talk more, I can easily do so.

Granted, this change is a trade-off. Depends how often one talks to multiple factions, versus talking to a single faction. But to me the extra step of having to say 'I'm thru talking to people' seems non-disruptive, whereas being dumped back in the world map when I didn't want that next is definitely disruptive. So even if the total number of clicks over the course of a game is similar, it feels like a friendlier interface. I feel more in control.

Isn't there buttons at the top of the talk to screen that will transfer you to another faction leader?

Right at the top and allows you to switch between each of the leaders you have found.

Okay, I see that now. Not a good solution, but at least its a solution. Thanks for pointing that out.

What feels un-optimal about it:

1. I'm being presented with a list of choices with the current leader. Since I'm done talking to him/her, I pick "Goodbye". I don't expect the burden to be on me to sneak up to some tiny arrow and start clicking on it.

2. I prefer the Foreign Relations screen, where I see all the leaders at once, to decide who I want to talk to next. arrowing thru the leaders isn't really what I want. (Typically I want to talk in descending order of friendliness.)

But I do appreciate knowing that choice is there.

I'd personally like to see the screen return to the initial Diplomacy screen once you are done talking to a Sovereign, rather than dropping to the map directly.  This way, if you want to do other kingdom management stuff, or continue pursuing Diplomatic options, you don't have to re-open the kingdom management window.

I haven't ever noticed the 'switch between leaders' arrows before either.  Actually, this might seem a bit rude in one sense, with the 'OK let's do this now I go to talk to the next leader without even saying goodbye'.  Not a big thing, but proper greetings and goodbyes are the hallmark of diplomacy, so to maintain that 'feel' this would be better.  Plus, there is information about faction strength, relationships and such in the 'preliminary' diplomacy screen, so reverting back to that screen can be helpful in making diplomatic decisions.

Those are my thoughts on the subject.
