Well done, Stardock.

I just wanted to give a little praise to Stardock for a job very well done in making LH.  I am truly impressed with it after playing all weekend, only to be sidelined by the dreaded in-laws.  At times I have been a loud, critical pain in the ass, but I knew that if I was just dedicated to bitching and moaning enough on this board I could inspire you to create a masterpiece, and I have!  (My ego demands I find a way for me to take some of the credit).

Looking at the game and then comparing it to WoM, they are so many miles apart in every way.  I love the artwork, from the scenes asd the game loads up or with large events, just incredible fantasy artwork.  Long gone are the days of worthless champions that all seemed to be "Randomguy the Farmer".  Heroes have some flavor and are fun to level. The factions were once team Blue verses Team Red, and now they seem unique in style and in function.

I am very impressed with the game.  Thank you for keeping your word on fixing Elemental.  I think it was an unprecedented promise that has been now full fulfilled, such a rarity in business.

Alright, enough ass kissing.  Go work on autobattles being better, make me some some DLCs with new heroes, magic, monsters and shit.

THIS.

JK, I agree. I played the final release for the first time this weekend and I haven't had this much fun nor seen the elemental series this polished. My hats off to you guys for coming through and delivering a game that I can pretty confidentially call "Solid". Good work!

This is no joke, it is a great game. In the spirit of continuing withering criticism to further greatness, Derek, could you get over your game-fun blindspot and quit balancing spears and nerfing tornado and make sure the title element of your game is as much fun as possible to play? There was a 5000 page view thread on how the hero XP split makes the title element a chore more than a joy, countless complaints of having to park champs in cities for nominal bonuses, and not a move in this direction have you ever made. You even design Altar to be the superhero faction you have to play in the campaign which can churn out high level superheroes out of fortresses with bonuses no quest hero can match, designed how you want them, and they fit seemlessly in to the game unlike the deluge of champs that can't work together. What is the deal?

I second the spirit of the thread.

The game has been "fixed" and is really fun now. So all the more reason for more refinements and expansions :)

I have to agree completely. Well, I've only played for about 12 hours so far. But I am amazed. It's just the kind of game I've been wishing for. I was HUGE fan of Fall from Heaven II and played it for YEARS.

The level of customization, story telling and mod potential for this game is incredible. I am going to loose several thousand hours to this and not regret a second of it.

There is a lot of tidying up to do. It's pretty buggy. But I can't put in words how impressed I am this this title.

THANK YOU!
