Crash when loading a save/auto-save decently into the game (2-3hrs)

Hi,

I'm new to the forums and thought I'd seek help here, If I'm in the wrong area please re-direct me to someone who could help

Anyway as the title says I played a fair bit into the game with most of the map revealed and cities all over the place. After about 2hrs since starting I noticed a slight slow down but nothing that really affected the gameplay itself. I occasionally save when I want to see what certain monsters/armies do since I'm new to the FE series but when I do try to load a save after screwing up the game crashes with a FE not responding event.

I know my laptop meets the recommended specs. If someone could help me out as to why this happens I'd appreciate it, thanks
