[.92 Bug?] Immortal Codex tech does nothing?

This is my first game playing as Resoln, so there might be a good explanation for this.  In the magic tech tree I see the Immortal Codex tech, but it apparently doesn't yield anything for researching it:

Immortal Codex is supposed to grant the ability to build shrines for each of the shard types, as well as the Guardian Idol city improvement.

Resoln starts with Adepts, which gives them the ability to upgrade to shrines without researching the tech, can you build Guardian Idols? If so, then it would appear Resoln is getting the Immortal Codex tech to begin with, not just the shrine part.

I think I started out with the shard harvesting tech already researched.  All of the shards I've acquired so far are altars.  Let me research Immortal Codex and see if anything changes.

Ok, I've now researched Immortal Codex, and despite it throwing up a blank screen where it tells you what the tech unlocks, I can now upgrade my altars to shrines.  So it seems like there's something wrong.

The problem is the tag <HideInHiergamenon>1</HideInHiergamenon>

But the problem of removing this tag results in an Air Shrine duplicate entry in the Hiergamenon.

I recommend that this information is too valuable not to show it. Thus, a renaming of all of Resolyns Shrines and Altars might be in order. For example,

Binding Air Altar ---

Air Blood Altar ---

Air Grave Altar ---

Some sort of adjective that gives resolyn a special named item here. This will result in non-duplicates in the Hierganmenon and provides the information needed on the research tree.

Thanks, parrottmath.  I had seen you mention that tag in another thread but didn't realize that it hid the entry in the tech tree as well as the Hiergamenon.  I hope there's still time left to do something about this before release.

Simply put just call them Air Grave Altars

Air Grave Shrines

...

and so forth.

This represents more of what you expect from these shrines anyway and they really shouldn't be hid from the Heirgamenon. That is the simplest fix, any other type of fix would require code change and at this time, i don't think they want to mess with that code.

This was confusing me also since I had just started a Resoln game. Kept reading on forums I could upgrade my Altars, but could not find the correct tech.

Definitely needs to show on the Tech Tree, even if it causes duplicates in this Hiergamenon thingy.

I would +1 anything that Parrott suggests though.

I posted a thread about this yesterday (after spending like 20 minutes trying to figure out what was up; I'd suspect new players who don't know what to look for in the XML files from playing base FE are going to be confused even longer >.<)

I'd definitely support parrott's suggestion of renaming them and making them appear in the hiergamenon; it's maybe not optimal but I assume the game isn't setup right now to make two seperate items show up in the hiergamenon as the same thing, so.

It is set up to show the same exact thing, one just sees a duplicate entry in the Hiergamenon. Simply put, the altar, shrine, temple for Resolyn does something different than the usual. It should really be named differently. I'm sure the devs might have a more clever name related closer to the lore than I provided, but this was as good as any. The only issue with this name adjustment, is the sifting through all the xml for Resolyn and renaming the descriptions to reflect this new name.
