What does LH have to offer over FE?

I own FE and the map DLC. Reasonably satisfied with the game as it is. I'm curious to know though what does LH have to offer that I don't already have with FE?

For the record, I modded in Kulan and Carrodus (it was easy to do, since they were already in the FE XML data, just converted them from Champions to Sovereigns), modded in +1 Move for the Mancer blood. What's left? At this point I am struggling to find what LH would give me.

What would I pay for? 

1. Significant improvements in the A.I. especially on the part of leveling up heroes and sovereigns. Does LH have that?

2. More complex tactical battles. Does LH have that?

3. More interesting quests. Does LH have that?

FE is mostly what you can make of it. Its moddability is exceptional, and I was able to mod it to the point where I actually enjoy playing it. The question is, what does LH offer me that I don't already have and can't mod in?

P.S. It's not about money, $19.99 is piss in the ocean, I simply wanna know what I'm paying for.

I'd say the answer to 1-3 is Yes!  #1 is the hardest to answer, they're generally pretty coy about the AI's capabilities.  But the AI apparently is using spells on the strategic level which is a new thing.

IMHO, the major changes that make it worth upgrading are:

the trait tree, replacing the random trait popup, which lets you shape your sov and champion as you like instead of being at the whim of the RNG.  it also opens up a huge number of new and neat abilities.  For example, I rolled a summoner mage in one of the betas and absolutely LOVED it.

the new tactical mechanics like swarm, cleave, shield bash etc. which give you more to do in tactical battles and make them more interesting.

and lastly, from what Brad and Dereck have said previously this is probably going to be the last Elemental release (excluding patches and DLC).  The Stardock game team is going to move on to other new projects.  That means LH will be the version of the game that our splendid modders focus on.

Seriously. It's people like you that make writing AI worth it.  You can't put AI in a screenshot. You can't demo it easily.  So seeing it at #1 on your list makes my day.

Others can answer the question on this more than I but I think I can objectively say that the AI in LH is significantly better than FE.  This is particularly true with regards to the AI's ability to strategically respond to multiple player armies (the whole strategic handling of army groups was redone).

If it helps ongoing AI improvements is #1 on my list too? I suspect it is for quite a number of people from the threads I read.
