Ten question quiz to test your security knowledge.

PC Magazine put out a ten question “quickie” to test your knowledge about key loggers, viruses, phishing, etc.

It was fun to take…no stress. The nice thing? The explanations of the correct answers.

You can find it here: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2418514,00.asp

I got 8 out of 10 right, the two I missed I had never heard the terms before.  I did better than I thought.

The last 5 I got right, the first five not. Yes, it is great that they explain what each one is! Good post again, Doc!

I got 8.

I wish we could punish computer crimes with capital punishment, including the death penalty.

thanks doc,

I got 8  and the site mis-described one, and one I had not heard of, so tollerable, BUT not good for me as I am a security computer tech.

I would take the quiz, but their site references ten billion external javascripts and I can't be bothered to figure out which ones I need to whitelist for it to work.

Am I doing it right? :p

Yes...the quiz requires a javascript.

Wouldn't know...tried to G/b/DDG your question, but it stumped them. Did get an ad for an eco-friendly washing machine...temps in Celsius, though. ;P

I will add a PS to my earlier comment.  I have to take security quizzes all the time (something about staying up on them), and this one was better than any of those.  At least it made me learn something new (smishing).
