[.90 Scenario Bug?] Ship can't land on beach (never mind, unclear to me how to move troops to beach)

In the following screen shot, you see the ship right below a beach. Shouldn't the ship be allowed to land on the beach? Maybe this isn't the intended landing spot, but shouldn't ships be allowed to land on beaches?

It looks like this beach is the only one that could be used to access the area behind the locked gate southwest of the scenario starting area.

They never landed on beaches for me-units on beaches could board the ship if it was adjacent to a beach.

In the real lifes, ships like that can't just come up to a beach, rowboats ferry you to and fro.

OK, never mind. For some reason it was not obvious to me that I had to select the units on the ship and then move them to the beach.
