.90 campaign - Kraxis came out of nowhere and took over my capital..

as though it had no defenders. My units were kicked out and placed next to the city. There isn't even a pop-up message saying that my city was captured! The save is from the turn before this occurs (also included the debug.err). I've reloaded the save and it happens each time so hopefully it will help you find the bug.

Edit - the previousautosave file is now the turn after it happens. Added a file "test" which is now the turn before it happens.

It does sound similar! I included my save in your thread also. I played a couple of turns after it happened the first time as I was unaware of it until I saw one of Kraxis' cities in the middle of mine (no messages of any kind). Then I realized it was my city! So my city didn't revert back. I'll have to keep playing to see if it does.

IT must be Kraxis racial ability betrayal which allow AI to cast broken loyalties spell.

I personal find broken loyalties spell is stupid when AI allow to cast it on fully stationed city that has low unrest. (Consider the ability cost is only 1000 gold which is nothing at end of game.)

EVEN WORSE.. the game doesn't save properly!

Man it sucks to reload a game and find that you have one less city than you should. It was NOT owned by kraxis when I saved the game.. how is it possible that the dude cast broken loyalties? It should be in the same damn state as when I saved it.. It was saved during my damn turn. How is possible?

Yep, that is the Kraxis racial ability spell. Put them down fast before they start getting money, or they will be a pain in the butt.

edit: In regards to how the spell works, I do think it should be reworked. I've mentioned before that I think it should cost more gold based on the level of the city. Or perhaps a city enchantment that, if not dispelled by the end of the turn, takes over the city. SOMETHING that lets you prevent it. And there should definitely be a popup telling the player what happened.

The problem is not saving, but loading:
