Werewolf's List of Bugs/Glitches and Dumb Sh## (Images!)

I'll make this an ongoing list as I play (I've played about 20 hours and have found lots of little things that annoy me, like the previously mentioned ability to see what everyone is building)

First up: Pioneer Spam. Still. Why is Pariden spamming this many pioneers, especially when they cost population now?

Secondly: Why is it that when I pull up Pariden in the diplomacy screen, and we are at WAR, does she say this?:

Third: I've seen a lot of quest markers that I walk on and nothing starts. Yes, it's the last move and yes, I've tried loading a save again. Like this particular marker, I've walked on it every which way and it won't start the quest:

This list will keep growing, I'm afraid. Here are some more:

First up, proof that the quest issue isn't because I'm on the same quest somewhere else or that I have too many quests:

Note that I'm on the tile and there is only one other quest that I'm on, which is NOT this one.

Another dumba$$ diplomacy response, note that I'm friendly with these guys AND more powerful:

Here's a screenshot of the issue I spoke of earlier. This goodie hut has sat here forever, despite the fact that it's right by MANY AI cities! WTF?!:

Last (for now), here is a CAPITAL CITY that I've just taken from Resoln, about 2.5 hours in to this particular game. Note how LITTLE they've built....

Saving one more. Thanks :)

It appears this game has a long way to go.  I personally am on hiatus for a length of time which has yet to be determined.  I am waiting for bugs such as these and many more to be fixed in the coming months, hopefully.  I like the game but cannot ignore the bugs in it as they are distracting to my game play.

About the quest tile issue - you could have a copy of that quest currently active, as you cannot have multiple copies of the same quest active at the same time. Thus, if the Refugee Camp in your screenshot is going to give you the quest for Panca Archers and you already have that quest active, you cannot trigger the Refugee Camp until after you complete the one you already received.

The third bug in the main post is a typical problem of the fact that you are already on the quest that the quest mrker would spawn. Namely if you finish your current quests you will be able to get tht quest marker. I really think some flavor text should be placed when walking over these quests markers that you are already on

"Everyone here seems to be too busy to talk to, and you are rather busy with the quests you already have. Maybe you should come back after you finished a quest."

or

"You are currently on a quest. This would be too much if I stop here."

or

"This quest is already being done. Come back after you finished your other quest."

Woa, that's a crapload of pioneers!

:O

Good post.  If the AI is actually paying for those pioneers (and I have no reason to believe that are not), then it really needs fixing because they're crippling themselves by doing that surely.

While I agree that there are things that need to be fixed, this is the most fun I've had with Elemental, warts and all. I believe the main issue - the single biggest issue, really - is how retarded the AI is. I'll take pictures next time, but I've seen goodie huts RIGHT BY AI CITIES and they won't even touch them for a few dozen turns. The pioneer spam is absurd, too. In that game, Pariden ALREADY HAD 7 CITIES to my 3 and the average 3-4. Why does it need 6 pioneers????????

WHY?!!!

Nope. Check my second post now.

I have had Magnar warn me of "the Yithril threat" message while we are at war ourselves.   :annoyed:

Some glitches I encountered recently-

I was taming beasts. I would web everything and tame the enemy one by one, passing on most of my turns. However, partway through this process a glitch often occurred, where a beast I had tamed suddenly got infinite turns and nothing else was capable of acting.

I noticed that, if I tamed a beast with a full army, it would spawn as a separate group after the battle. The important thing here, is that it would still appear after the battle, even if it died in battle.

I had a city full of defenders. All the unit slots+an assasin demon from the sacrificial altar+statue guardian. This resulted in some of my defenders being spawned outside the city, in the void beyond space and time. They couldn't move, since they weren't in pathable space, but were just sitting in the corner of the map.

Regarding the empty AI city - the Ai razes some buildings on conquest, hence why you see empty spots inside the city fence. Not a bug, I don't think.

Is that confirmed? ^^

Re the 3rd thing you posted, that isn't a bug.  The white quest marker means quest in progress, ie, you already have the quest. I see you say you aren't on that quest, but I would say you probably are.  Regardless, you won't get a quest from it no matter how many times you walk on it :p

There's a bug, then, because it's not shown on my quest list, as you can see in the second post.

I would suspect that the quest marker is a rare bug where there is a phantom quest (in other words a quest with no name) was spawned in its place. It happened once in awhile in FE where there was actually no quest at the quest location. But it is rather a rare find and a save should be produced with the problem so the devs can track down the problem.
