After you've summoned the Pyre of Man onto the tactical battlefield, you can never take control of it, nor does it do anything (although it does help seemingly help with Swarm attacks and he makes his swarm-assist animation). After some time (3 rounds where you never control him), he expires and dies...
My guess as to why: it is 3 rounds of the caster's init, and the Pyre has a much lower init, so he only gets one attack in.
Came here to post to same issue. Summoned the Pyre of Men 6 different times and all it ever did was get used for swarm bonuses then died.
Hello, I too was on my way to report this issue : When you cast this spell, the Pyre of Man does appears, but it is supposed to do 3 actions for you, but in my case he just had the time to do 1 before he dissappeared.
It seems a bug... or else I don't know how to give him orders.
My Pyre of Men did nothing. I even skipped my entire army for awhile to get a chance to use him and then he just died.
@Wakrob I did the same thing. He didn't get a turn. And then he died.
